Jack VanAusdall is a medical massage therapist and inventor. He noticed that many elders and patients who rely on walkers have chronic pain problems, so he introduced A Better Walker, a walking aid designed for chronic pain.
Loveland, CO (Merxwire) – Jack VanAusdall, a medical massage therapist, found that many elders and patients using walkers had chronic neck, back, hand, and wrist pains, and decided to help them. Jack VanAusdall discovered that these pains come from the traditional walker posture. After years of design, he obtained multiple prototypes and patents, and introduced the innovative vertical support walking device “A Better Walker”.
With this innovative stand-up support walking device, you can improve posture and walking style to reduce pain. This design is mainly to alleviate common problems encountered by patients using traditional walkers, including neck and lower back pain and hand and wrist soreness.
According to VanAusdall, several large corporations have approached him about partnering or buying his patents, but VanAusdall has refused these offers because of the inflated price corporations want to charge for the newly designed walker. “People with limited income can’t afford expensive devices. Making a product that improves quality of life at an affordable price is my main goal,” says VanAusdall. Because of his altruistic motivations, VanAusdall has turned to the popular crowdsourcing platform Kickstarter to fund the initial production of A Better Walker(TM).
A Better Walker(TM) has quite a following on Facebook with over 80,000 page likes, and now thru Kickstarter, VanAusdall is asking for support to get the product to market. The Kickstarter campaign ends on February 24, 2020 and is an “all or nothing” chance for funding.
Jack VanAusdall is the owner and inventor of A Better Walker(TM); the product is protected by multiple utility and design patents.
