Hsieh Su-Wei Return to the Doubles World No.1

In the past 12 months, Hsieh and Strycova have won a total of seven championship titles, including their first Grand Slam title at Wimbledon in 2019, Hsieh return to the top of the WTA doubles rankings this week.

Taipei, Taiwan (Merxwire) – In the past year, Hsieh Su-Wei has returned to its peak. Hsieh Su-Wei and Barbora Strycova have won three championships this season. Her doubles ranking returns to No.1, this is her fourth time at doubles world No.1.

The famous tennis player from Taiwan reached the top for the first time on May 12, 2014, when she tied with Peng Shuai for the first time. So far, Hsieh has won three championships at the French Open and Wimbledon, and the champion at the 2013 WTA Tour Championships.

In the past month, she has successively won the women’s doubles championships in Dubai and Doha. This week, the Fed Cup is about to debut. Hsieh Su-Wei will play for Chinese Taipei.

All of this is to keep the top 10 in the doubles and to secure Chinese Taipei’s participation in the Tokyo Olympics and the sorting of players. Today, Hsieh spoke on her Facebook: “Fortunately, all this effort is worth it.”
