HUALIEN, TAIWAN (MERXWIRE) – The Hualien County Government has officially released the multilingual e-book Discovering Hualien, offering a fresh global perspective on Hualien’s rich culture and stunning natural landscape.
The e-book is now available in three language editions — Chinese-English, Chinese-Japanese, and Chinese-Korean. Through a clean visual style combined with vivid photos and illustrations, it presents Hualien’s development achievements in a way that is easy for international audiences to understand and explore. From the mountains to the sea, Hualien’s unique character is brought to life through thoughtful design and storytelling.
The content is organised into six key sections:
Meet Hualien, Hualien in Numbers, Rooted in Hualien, Sustainable Hualien, Hualien’s Charms, and International Hualien.
It begins with Hualien’s history and geographical setting, and continues with visual infographics and concise explanations. Through data, images, and policy highlights, readers can gain a clear understanding of Hualien’s natural resources, cultural depth, and future direction. Key initiatives such as ethnic inclusion, cultural preservation, youth entrepreneurship, urban resilience, sustainable governance, and tourism development are all featured in the publication.
