Taipei, Taiwan (Merxwire) – Donald Trump Jr, the eldest son of US President Trump, reposted a tweet from columnist Benny Johnson today(Apr. 10). He tweeted that he agreed with six views including “Recognizing Taiwan” and “Tarrif Chinese goods for Virus Relief Fund.” This post received a warm response, and in just 12 hours it has received 54,000 Likes and more than 11,000 shares.

Coronavirus has caused incalculable major health, economic and life-related harm worldwide, and dozens of countries including the United States have condemned China’s opaque management policies for the spread of the epidemic. Yesterday, Johnson wrote on Twitter: “After China Virus dies”, US should immediately: Recognize Taiwan, Tariff Chinese goods for Virus Relief Fund, Repatriate manufacturing & medicine production, Give tax break to businesses to leave China, Economically invest in India, and Deduct $ spent on virus from China Debt. Trump Jr. agreed with him on Facebook six hours later.

This post received more than 5,000 comments. Some people think that the United States is too dependent on China and should cancel tax cuts and move the industry back to the United States. There are also calls to stop providing funds to WHO and verify the purpose of the funds.

In addition to US-China issues, many fans affirm Taiwan “Thank you! Taiwan can help, and Taiwan is helping.”, “Taiwanese products are superior to Chinese anyway. I also see advantages to investing in our neighbors to the south, especially when considering logistics.”
