The Green Energy Technology the World Expects

The resources of the earth are limited. For the development of energy, our world is polluted. In theory, green energy is currently the most ideal energy source, and the use of technology to obtain renewable resources is the goal of all countries. The following are possible developments in solar and wind power.

Washington, D.C. (Merxwire) – Green Energy, also known as Renewable Energy, is energy derived from nature and does not emit pollutants, such as Solar Energy, Wind Energy, Hydroelectric Power, Ocean Thermal Energy, Geothermal Energy, Dynamic tidal Power, etc. The expiration date of energy is estimated to exceed human history and is not affected by energy shortages. Solar energy and wind energy are the most common and most commonly used green energy in our lives. Using these two forces of nature, mankind may obtain more benefits.

Solar power station in space

According to data from the National Space Society, the life span of the Sun is estimated to be between 4 and 5 billion years, and the solar energy available in space is actually billions of times more than what we currently use. The most important thing is that there will be no shortage of electricity in space, at least for the next 5 billion years. Other advantages include: at least 95% of solar energy can be obtained in space, not affected by the atmosphere, and will not occupy farmland on the surface of the earth. Through wireless transmission, we can transport the solar energy from space to any place on the earth where electricity is needed, and the transportation cost is small.

Solar energy on the surface of the earth is limited by the natural environment, and the hours of sunshine and weather conditions will affect efficiency. Compared with the traditional solar energy in the past, the efficiency of Concentrated solar power has been greatly improved. However, the solar energy we can use on the surface of the earth has been weakened by the atmosphere, and we can only obtain 10% to 20% of solar energy. Therefore, obtaining solar energy directly in space is the most ideal way.

After using satellites to collect solar energy in space, and then spreading a large amount of energy to the surface of the earth wirelessly, only a few receiving stations need to be set up, which has little impact on the environment.

However, solar energy in space still needs to face technical problems. Because the satellite will be set at a distance of 36,000 kilometers from the surface of the earth, scientists are still looking for ways to allow large amounts of energy to pass through lasers or light waves to target receiving stations on the earth. After the solar energy is converted into electrical energy, it is transmitted back to the earth by microwave or laser, and then the energy is collected by the receiving system. The researchers said that it is also necessary to confirm the impact of long-term transmission of lasers from space solar power stations on the ecological safety of the earth.

Wind energy freighter

We often see large wind power station on the seashore. Because the wind is strong on the seashore, it can drive the blade fans to rotate and convert the power of the wind into electrical energy. How to use wind power in marine related industries?

Rotor sail is a traditional technology. When the wind passes the rotating round pillar sail, the air flow will accelerate the rotation of one side of the rotor sail and decelerate the rotation of the other side, generating vertical pressure, which is the so-called Magnus Effect. German engineer Anton Flettner used the technology to cross the Atlantic in 1920. Later, the cost of burning oil is low, so this technology has been rarely used. As people pay more and more attention to ecology, rotor sail will become one of the green energy technologies of freighters.

Huge kites are another option for freighters to obtain green energy. Using kites to power large freighters on the ocean, kites with an area of 1,000 square meters can provide about 20% of the power for freighters and reduce the use of fuel. Researchers are experimenting with automatic kite propulsion systems to serve as power generation aids for freighters and large yachts.

Automated Huge Kite: When there is no wind, the wing can be folded on the bow of the freighter, without affecting the in and out of the cargo. When there is wind, the captain only needs to press a button to start the wing. The flying height of the kite is between 200 and 300 meters, this height of wind is considered to be the most beneficial. The kite is connected to the boat with a light but very strong rope to maximize the wind force. As soon as the wind force becomes smaller, the wing will automatically lower its height.

Our world’s resources are limited. How to get a lot of green energy from nature and use it in industry and life is a matter that everyone is concerned about. While technology is still developing, mankind must save energy, cherish current resources, and avoid energy shortages.
