Use coffee grounds to make shoes

For the sake of environmental protection, some consumers will bring their own cups for coffee, but they still cannot avoid the production of coffee grounds. In the past, most coffee grounds were discarded, and only a few coffee grounds were used to fertilize. Now, Taiwanese manufacturers Ccilu use coffee grounds to make shoes.
Taking the convenience store’s medium cup coffee as a benchmark, “about 15 cups can make a pair of rain boots, 5 cups can make a pair of step shoes, and 2 cups can make a pair of slippers.” Coffee grounds can be used to make shoe surfaces, insoles; and At the bottom, in all raw materials, coffee grounds account for about 40% to 60%. The technology has obtained ten international patents, and the products have been sold in more than 40 countries, including Europe, America, and Asia.
Use waste gas to make clothes
While most companies are committed to reducing carbon emissions, Taiwanese companies Far Eastern New Century Corporation have used “recycled carbon” to make products. They use technology to capture carbon dioxide and carbon monoxide in the air and convert them into ethanol (alcohol), then convert the ethanol into polyester, and finally become the textile industry’s fiber cloth, making the world’s first “exhaust gas recycling clothing.”
Taiwanese manufacturers used recycled PET bottles to make clothes in the past, but now they have optimized their technology and used “exhaust gas” to make clothes. The industry said that carbon capture technology is not new, but its use in the “textile industry” is an innovative approach! Through Recycled ester pellets technology, land garbage, marine waste, and air exhaust can all be made into clothes. This is an important development milestone in the circular economy.
